Introducing to Lampost- Photographer Brett Rubin

Born in Johannesburg, South Africa. He holds a graduate degree in film, Media & Visual Studies from UCT, where he was awarded photographer of the year in 2003.
He has produced work for clients including Marie Claire, ELLE, GQ, Pringle of Scotland, Grolsch, Nintendo Wii, and Design Indaba.

Inspired by architecture, nature, fashion and portrait Brett Rubin has worked with many of the country’s leading and emerging fashion designers.

Desmond and The Future

The latest Desmond and The Tutus video directed by Hanro Havenga. Up and coming on the photography and video scene, Hanro Havenga is soon to be joining the diverse array of talent that is Lampost. Having had no luck in getting a return flight to Durban, it was a good impromptu decision that Hanro would board the van with Desmond and The Tutus. The video tells an amusing narrative of the bands road trip to Durban. As anticipated, Lampost characters Craig Durrant and Douglas Bower gave an awesome performance.

Desmond & the Tutu's for Benzac.

At the end of last year Lampost was involved in one of the funnest jobs in ages! The campaign featured Desmond & the Tutu's (you'll recognise Lampost character models Doug and Craig) in the best costumes you will ever see the band in! The amazing styling was done by Lampost's Candice Moore and the miraculous transformations were thanks to makeup and hair stylist Michel Ingoglia also of Lampost (along with the ever fantastic Lyn Kennedy). The agency was Jupiter Drawing Room JHB and was shot by Merwelene Van Der Merwe.

Shadowclub's "Lucy" Music Video

Another post featuring Lampost's Craig Durrant (who performs in Desmond and the Tutus and Yo Grapes), as well as Jacques Moolman of SAMA award-winning rock band Shadowclub. Directed by Trevor Clarence, "Lucy" will definitely have you hitting the replay button!

FHM Fashion

The latest FHM editorial turned out to be quite a Lampost co-lab! It was beautifully shot by the wonderful Ross Garrett featuring the ever handsome Lampost character Craig Durrant. New addition to Lampost Crystal Birch is the men's fashion editor for FHM and styled this fantastic shoot inspired by the streets of Jozi.
